Long Beach Chainstitch Embroidered Hat

Each of these Long Beach chainstitch embroidered "dad cap" style hats was handcrafted by Foolish Daughter of New Haven, Connecticut on her an antique 1914-15 Singer 114w103 chainstitch embroidery machine.
 
The Singer 114w103 is a hand-cranked chainstitch embroidery machine, once used from the early 1900s through the 1970s to stitch logos and lettering on workwear, bowling shirts, and club jackets. Each design is drawn by hand using a handle beneath the table to guide the thread.
